On September 12th at our joint meeting with the Sacramento Breakfast Rotary Club, we had the opportunity and pleasure to induct two new members into our club. Please meet Dr. Sue Barrett and Megan Ham!
Sue is a veterinarian and is the owner of the Watt Avenue Pet Hospital. She came to learn about Rotary when she was involved with the Folsom Club's women's auxiliary known a the Rotary Ann. It had been awhile since she had been involved with Rotary, but now that she is a member of Passport, she is eagerly ready to work on projects, as well as attend socials and meetings. One fun fact we learned, Sue is in the process of becoming a docent for the Folsom Zoo Sanctuary and currently breeds King Charles Cavalier Spaniels. If you are looking for a dog, she may be a good person to help you out.
Megan has been a member in Rotary for 2 1/2 years. She joined the Folsom Lake club after experiencing their Dictionary program with the local school kids in her area. That project sold her on the idea that Rotary was a place for her. Megan jumped right in to help out with leadership and eventually become president. Due to a job change, Megan has moved closer to Sacramento and is eager to get back involved in leadership. She has agreed to take on the role of Club Administrator and Service. Thanks, Megan and we look forward to working with you!
