Roxanne Snyder is a new member of our club, but she is certainly not new to Rotary.  She was a member of the Rotary Club of Roseville for 15 years and served as President of the club in 2003-2004.  She was a member of our District 5180 staff for six years and is currently on the District Board as the Community Service Chair.

She has dedicated her life in support of Rotary's principle of making the world a better place through service to others.  She has a passion for mission work and typically goes on a mission trip once a year.  Most recently she traveled to Vietnam and spent three weeks working with Habitat for Humanity to build homes in villages south of Saigon.  Three years ago she created a small non-profit called "Mission Sistahs, Inc." in order to help families around the world in the areas of clean water, education, food and housing.

Recently, she has taken a part-time position with an organization called "A Touch of Understanding."  ATOU provides disability awareness training in schools in eight different counties.  They encourage the acceptance and respect for all individuals to minimize discrimination and develop mutual acceptance.

Roxanne has a beautiful 13 year old lab mix rescue named Mr. Cody.  They love to go on morning walks to the park so Mr. Cody can see his friends and chase squirrels.  She is also an Auntie, Great Auntie and surrogate Auntie to 11 nieces and nephews.

Roxanne makes the world a better place and makes Rotary a better club.
