President's Message - July
The 2021-2022 Rotary year is upon us. We truly learned what it meant to be flexible in 2020. A big thank you to Past President Bill Bowen for keeping the club steered in the right direction during difficult times.
In this flexible age, we've also had to find a new meeting place. Since being able to meet in person again we've tried two different locations. I'd love to get everyone's feedback on those locations or if you have any you'd like to recommend!
July would normally be our first club meeting, however, our very own Jim Quinney with Rise Against Hunger is doing a big event and really needs our help. Please see info below on participating/donating to this event. We need several more volunteers and I'd love to see as many of you as possible!
Our first official club meeting will be on Thursday, August 26th. More details to follow but please put this date in your calendar as a "can't miss!". We'll get back on track with a back-to-back monthly meeting on Thursday, September 23rd, with our District Governor Desiree Wilson.

In lieu of a club meeting this month, we are gathering as many members as possible to support Rise Against Hunger in their GLOBAL IMPACT TEAM CHALLENGE. If you haven't reached out already, please let me know if you can join us on Saturday July 31st at 11AM at the Rise Against Hunger Warehouse, 1065 National Drive, Ste 3, Sacramento. Our club is sponsoring 50% of the registration fee and we're asking for a donation from our members of $20 each to meet our registration goals of $500. In addition to meal packing, we'll be doing a trivia contest and a corn-hole competition. Sounds like a great day to support a great cause. The Roseville Rotary Club is looking for volunteers for their Annual Taco Throwdown on Saturday August 14th. There are several shifts available.
