President's Message - September
Just a reminder that we are having another regular club meeting on Thursday September 23rd. NOTE: This meeting will start at 6:30pm with dinner served just before 7:00pm. We will have our District Governor, Desire Wilson, joining us. We'll also be inducting another new member to our club and hearing from one of our RYLA Students. This time around there will be raffle prize in lieu of Happy Dollars.

Our Newest Member
Welcome Lisa Keller!
Our Membership Chair, Beth Ellinthorpe, welcomed our newest member to the club, Lisa Keller, who is sponsored by Al Frumkin. When you get a chance, please give Lisa a very warm Passport One welcome.
Our club is will be working on a JOINT PROJECT with Roseville Rotary Club, Auburn Rotary Club and Bayside Church for a Community Garden project for Rolling Oaks Senior Apartments.
Look for a Sign-Up opportunity from Service Director, Sara Thornros, soon. Passport One shift will be:
--Saturday, October 2nd
We'll be needed to complete garden boxes, raised planters and soil/compost. We need about 6-8 volunteers for this project. Let's really help the underserved and vulnerable senior citizens.

ROTARY FOUNDATION DINNER
There will be a Foundation Dinner this year. Woohoo!! October 30th at the Double Tree Inn, 2100 Point West Way, Sacramento.
Passport One has purchased a table of six to join in the festivities of the night. We currently have four (4) spots available at the table. If you'd like to be at this wonderful event that celebrates all the good that Rotary does in our district, please reach out to me to reserve your spot. Tickets are $70 each. SOCIAL FUNDRAISING EVENT WITH RISE AGAINST HUNGER
Our Rotary friend and club member Jim Quinney is hosting a 'Rise Against Hunger' fundraising event called "World Food Day Sacramento" to be held on Saturday, October 16th 2021 • 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm. The event will be held at Rise Against Hunger Sacramento, 1065 National Drive, Sacramento, CA.
Passport One Club will be sponsoring a 5 Course Beer Pairing Night at BJ's Restaurant in Folsom on November 29th. The tickets will be $150 each with all profits going to Polio Plus.
In addition, BJ's has generously offered to donate 20% of their profit for the entire day to Polio Plus AND provide a $25 gift card to to every ticket holder. This is sure to be a fabulous event!

Here we go again... Book Buddies!
Once again we are teaming up with Roseville Rotary to be book buddies for a school in need in the Roseville Community. A note should've gone out to all that have signed up. If you don't have the info, please let me know.
