What a great first meeting for Passport One and for District Governor Ray.  I think we were all a little nervous but once we got rolling, boy was it a fun night.  I would like to personally congratulate David Kenitzer and Jeff McAlpin for earning the Soaring Rotarian and Quiet Rotarian awards given out by DG Ray. 

 

David Kenitzer, as our Soaring Rotarian,  was integral in updating our current Bylaws, he works hard to keep our finances in order and all the other responsibilities that come with being a treasurer.  David brings a lot of expertise to the board having been a Rotary president as well as a past member of the Active 20-30 club.  Because of this experience and passion he has helped Passport continue to thrive. 

 

Jeff McAlpin has earned the Quiet Rotarian award for all his work behind the scenes as he handles all the arrangements for our RYLA candidates.  He reaches out to schools to help find candidates, interviews each one and makes recommendations.  Jeff then follows up with the students and the RYLA coordinators to make sure everything goes as planned.  You can see Jeff at most of our meetings and service projects. 

 

Both men truly have a passion for Rotary and does it not for himself but for all those touched by Rotary.
