January Meeting
What a great meeting at Rise Against Hunger
We love your new facility and were moved by all the wonderful things you're doing to help end hunger around the world!
Because of your passion, our members' Happy Dollars were able to purchase two boxes of food.
For those wanting to pass on this donation opportunity to those you know, here's the link  CLICK HERE .
Just $75 feeds a child for a year.

Welcome to Rotary Passport One - Adam Campbell and Lawana Welch

Congratulations to Bill Bowen and Megan Ham for being elected to President and President Elect for the 2020-2021 term!

District Governor Ray Ward and Mike Reinero told us that we will be working to start a new Passport club to encompass more of the southern part of District 5180.  We invite you all to our Club Assembly so you can hear more about the progress we're making.

Finally, we created an assembly line and filled to the brim 66 backpacks with food we've been collecting since November.  The kids receiving the backpacks will have enough food to get them through the weekends until they go back to school at Mustard Seed.

Mustard Seed School

Rotary Passport One packed and delivered over 65 drawstring backpacks filled with nonperishable food for the pre-k - 8th grade students at the Mustard Seed School run by Loaves & Fishes.  These bags are distributed to the kids when they leave for the weekend so they are guaranteed meals while not at school.  Also delivered was a check donated by member Adam Campbell to help with the schools other needs for the kids.
Veteran Wreath Pick Up
What a moving opportunity to join the Rotary Club of West Sac Centennial at the Sacramento National Cemetery in Dixon to help remove wreaths from the graves of our veterans.  This is an annual activity that comes up so if you missed it this year, mark next year's calendar for the second weekend in January.  Thanks Sam Anderson, Pat Braziel, Greg Dixon, Ray Ward and Leigh-Ann Reinero
Trivia Night
Trivia Night!

Trivia Night at Monk's Cellar in Roseville was one for the books!  We had two teams...the first Passport One team won the whole kit and kaboodle (April Kentizer was a ringer!!!)  while the other team brought up the rear.  Love that we were on opposite ends of the board but I know we all had a great time racking our brains.  Can you name four countries in Africa that are only 4 letters?
