End of a Term
IT'S NOT GOOD-BYE!

As the end of the term comes to a close, we must give a fond farewell to Passport's 3rd President and 1st Female President, JoAnne Tanner.  Here' a little highlight of just a few things she accomplished during her term as President:

  • She worked tirelessly this year to help us get our name changed from an e-club to Rotary Club of Greater Sacramento Passport One.
  • She successfully started our Partner Club program and we had the pleasure of meeting and working with 8 clubs within District 5180.
  • She inducted 25 new members into the club during the past year.
  • She helped begin a Customs group for new members to learn how Rotary and Passport works as well as create a fun fellowship.
  • She organized complimentary dental services for the RYE (Rotary Youth Exchange) students within several districts so they could maintain good dental health while staying here in America.
  • She provided us fun and exciting meetings that got us motivated and eager for the next time we would all get together.
Thank you, JoAnne, from the bottom of our hearts for all your time that you gave to Rotary Passport so we could continue achieving our goals.  We are happy that you still have another year on the board to see things that have been put in motion come to fruition.

Dunk A Dignitary - Citrus Heights Club
Stand Up Placer

THANKS FOR ANSWERING THE "CALL TO ACTION"

It has been a pleasure working with everyone on this project and for this important and worthy organization, Stand Up Placer, that provides a safe place for women and families that are escaping an abusive and or dangerous situation.  I know I can speak for Sonja and Jill from the Auburn Leadership Class of 2018 and the team at Stand Up Placer, thank you, thank you, thank you.  Without all of you the goal/dream of completing this project may not have been realized.

As a fellow Rotarian, Co-Founder of Mission Sistahs, Inc and Community Service Chair for DG Sandi, I am humbled by the support and generosity from everyone that either donated items or donated time to help such a worthwhile organization.  We truly made a difference and are all hero's to people you may never meet.  God Bless you for the work you do and commitment to helping others.

Foundation Recognitions

FOUNDATION RECOGNITION

Most of us know that we become a Paul Harris Fellow after contributing $1000 to the Rotary Foundation.
It is something we are proud of, because it means we are helping to fund all the good things our Foundation does around the world.
Every time we contribute another $1000 we earn another PHF and become PHF+1, PHF+2 and so on up to $10,000 when we achieve the distinguished recognition of a Major Donor.

At our May meeting we were delighted to spotlight eight Rotarians who achieved the next level of recognition:
Brad Asbury - PHF
Eric James - PHF
Megan Ham -PHF+2
Hanns Haesslein – PHF+2
Sara Thornros- PHF+4
Dwight Chambers - PHF+4
Carol Langley - PHF+5
Elaine van Overbeek - Major Donor

Congratulation to these eight members, and thank you to ALL of our members who support the Rotary Foundation.
