“LIVES SAVED” BY GIVING MONEY

You can make a big impact by giving to Rotary projects locally and internationally.

HOW TO GIVE MONEY (LOCALLY) – DISTRICT 5180 PROJECTS & CLUB PROJECTS

Local donations can be made to District 5180 projects or Rotary Club projects.  Most Rotary Clubs have and manage Foundations that are designated as 501(c)(3) tax-exempt charities, allowing you to make a tax deductible charitable donation (see your tax advisor for specific rules on tax deductions).  All Clubs boast little or no administrative overhead, so your donation will have the maximum impact to your community.  With rare exception, there is no minimum donation amount with any local project (see the examples that follow).

HOW TO GIVE MONEY (INTERNATIONALLY) – THE ROTARY FOUNDATION

International giving with Rotary is made possible through The Rotary Foundation (a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) charitable organization).   Amounts range from zero current cash required (Planned Giving options) to no minimum amounts required to $250,000.

Where Does It Go? - All donations go either to the Polio Eradication effort or to The Rotary Foundation Annual Fund, which has six areas of global focus: (1) Promoting Peace, (2) Fighting Disease, (3) Providing Clean Water, (4) Saving Mothers and Children, (5) Supporting Education, and (6) Growing Local Economies.  You would be amazed how far your dollar goes in making the world a better place for so many people.

Special Recognition is given by The Rotary Foundation for the following gifts: Benefactor, Bequest, Paul Harris Fellow, Paul Harris Society, Major Donor, and Arch C. Klumph Society.  All gifts are recorded and maintained in “My Rotary” at www.rotaryinternational.org.  Register your account today with your Rotary Membership number.
