YOUR FOUNDATION DOLLARS WELL SPENT
Every Rotarian Every Year!
Rotarians from clubs around the world support our Foundation with very important annual contributions. Each issue of our Rotarian magazine spotlights a few of the projects that our contributions make possible.
The September issue features five outstanding projects in the “World Roundup” article on pages 14 and 15. The article relates how Rotarians have made a difference in the lives of people in Nigeria, Egypt, El Salvador, Korea and Hawaii. We encourage everyone to read about the good things that are possible because of the support we give the Rotary Foundation.
Please contact Carol Langley or Mary Mecklenburg if you need assistance with your 2016-2017 Foundation giving.
WHO'S THAT GUY TAKING MY PICTURE?
You may have noticed a man with a camera at our last two meetings. He is our club’s very own member Jack Mintz. Jack says his camera is part of his arm, and we are happy about that, because before Jack came to the club,
our club pictures were taken sporadically or not at all.

Read on to get to know Jack better so that when you see him at our next meeting you'll know exactly who's taking your picture.

MEMBERSHIP UPDATE
Growing our club takes a village.  You are that village.  Since the new Rotary year began on July 1, 2017, our members have been working hard getting the word out about the uniqueness of our club and the fun we are having together and with other Rotary clubs in the district.

We have approved membership for 10 new people so far, six of whom were inducted at our August meeting,  and, thanks to Jim Quinney, David Kennitzer, JoAnne Tanner, Bill Wittich, Kwame Acquaah, and members of other clubs in the district, we have several more applications going through the new member approval process.  Keep an eye out for those emails and we look forward to our next induction.
